The 37-hectare vineyard is planted to roughly 73% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc and 11% Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on deep limestone deposits under clay soils that give the wines both richness and structure. The 2016 vintage combined ripeness with freshness in Bordeaux, and at 15.5% alcohol this wine shows dark plum, blackberry, licorice and mocha notes with dense, well-integrated tannins built for long ageing. Now overseen by winemaker Aymeric de Gironde under owner SCOR, the estate continues to produce wines of real depth.
