The domaine took its present shape in 1982, when Martin Bart and his sister Odile took their share of the Clair-Daü estate as it was broken up; Odile's son Pierre has run it since 2009, working alongside his uncle. The 2019 vintage was balanced and classic in Burgundy, and the wine is a Pinot Noir with red cherry, a note of spice and fine tannins. Marsannay sits at the northern end of the Côte de Nuits; the commune has no premiers crus, though En la Montagne is one of fourteen climats in an application that has been before the INAO since 2011.
