It is run day to day by Jean-Baptiste Clair, who joined in 2000 and has directed production since 2011; his late father Denis founded the domaine with Françoise. The 2021 Burgundy vintage was low-yielding after April frost and a cool, wet summer, generally giving lighter-bodied, fresher reds with pronounced red fruit rather than heavy structure. Expect red cherry, redcurrant and a fine, savoury spice, with the softer tannins usual in Saint-Aubin rouge.
