Now run by the sixth generation of the Derey family, brothers Maxime, Romain and Pierre-Marie, the domaine farms 20 hectares from Marsannay to Gevrey-Chambertin, with careful attention to whole-cluster proportions since 2011. The 2021 Burgundy vintage was low-yielding, shaped by April frost and a cool, wet summer, generally giving fresher, lighter-bodied reds with pronounced red-fruit character. Expect red cherry, spice and a firm, structured frame.
