Founded by Jean Orliac in the late 1970s, the estate is one of Pic Saint Loup's benchmark producers, and this cuvée is a blend led by Syrah and Grenache with a portion of Mourvèdre, in keeping with the appellation's rules. At 13.5% alcohol, expect a well-structured, garrigue-scented red with dark berry fruit, black pepper and a firm but approachable tannic frame. Pic Saint Loup, one of the Languedoc's coolest and most prestigious terroirs, produces some of the region's most age-worthy reds.
