Laurent Roumier, a grandson of Georges Roumier, set up his own estate in 1991. Domaine Laurent Roumier is a separate producer from Domaine Georges Roumier, which his cousin Christophe Roumier runs. The 2022 is Pinot Noir, entirely destemmed and fermented in concrete, then raised fifteen to eighteen months in barrel with around half new oak, at 13% alcohol. Expect dark fruit, velvety tannin and depth.
