Biodynamic Wines
Biodynamics begins with organic farming and then goes further: composted preparations applied in tiny quantities, work in the vines and the cellar timed to the lunar and seasonal calendar, and the estate treated as one organism rather than a field of vines with problems to be solved. Certification comes from Demeter or Biodyvin, and because the method takes organic practice as its floor, biodynamic estates are almost always certified organic as well — every wine on this page also appears under Organic Wines. Domaine de Montille, Clos du Caillou, Thierry Germain at Les Roches Neuves, Le Clandestin in Champagne and Thollet — Petite Gallée all farm this way.
