Glen Moray Port Cask Finish is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from the Glen Moray distillery in Elgin, part of the brand's accessible, no-age-statement Elgin Classic range. The spirit is first matured in American oak casks to develop classic Speyside character, then finished for around eight months in Tawny Port casks, giving the whisky a rosy tint along with notes of dried fruit, toasted vanilla and dark chocolate on the nose. On the palate, expect a burst of spice, a citrus tang and rich caramel sweetness with a hint of cinnamon, finishing smooth with soft oak and honeyed warmth. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle, it is an approachable, fruit-forward whisky suited to both newcomers and experienced single malt drinkers. Enjoy neat, with a splash of water, or as the base for a whisky sour.
