Vintage2022
Les Tillets is a Meursault lieu-dit worked by Domaine Alain Gras, the Saint-Romain estate that has farmed vines in the valley west of Meursault since 1979. It is a village-level site, not a premier cru. Meursault Chardonnay is richer and more textured than that of neighbouring Puligny or Chassagne-Montrachet, and Les Tillets shows ripe orchard fruit, hazelnut and buttery notes over the clay-limestone minerality of the appellation, at 13% alcohol in this 2022 bottling. Pair with lobster, roast chicken in cream sauce, or a mature Comté.
