Vintage
Petit Chablis is the entry level appellation of the Chablis region, grown on the Portlandian limestone of the plateau above the premier cru and grand cru slopes, and gives a crisp, unoaked Chardonnay. This bottling comes from Domaine Jean-Paul et Benoît Droin, a family estate in the town of Chablis that traces its winegrowing line to the early seventeenth century and that Benoît Droin has run since 1999. Petit Chablis and village Chablis are raised in tank alone here, with no oak. Expect citrus and green apple with a saline, stony finish. Serve chilled with goat cheese, shellfish or as an aperitif. Rows are ploughed or left grassed and treatments are kept low. Select your preferred vintage above.
