Saint-Émilion — Premier Grand Cru Classé B

Premier Grand Cru Classé B is the second rank of the Saint-Émilion classification, and since the 2022 revision it holds twelve châteaux — among them Canon, Figeac's neighbours on the plateau, Clos Fourtet, Larcis Ducasse, Troplong Mondot and Valandraud.

In practice the gap between the B tier and the two A châteaux is narrower than the labels suggest, and several B estates trade well above their rank. The classification is reviewed roughly every ten years; this reflects the 2022 ranking.
