Damoiseau is the leading rum producer of Guadeloupe, based in Le Moule in the Grande-Terre region, and the only distillery operating there. This Rhum Blanc is a rhum agricole, meaning it is distilled from fresh sugarcane juice rather than molasses, following the Guadeloupe rhum agricole tradition. After column-still distillation, the spirit is briefly rested in wooden vats to soften its edges before bottling at 40% alcohol. Expect a clean, expressive rum with vibrant cane sugar sweetness, floral and grassy top notes, and a touch of tropical fruit. Unaged and full of raw sugarcane character, it is the style of rum used in a classic Ti' Punch or daiquiri, and is equally enjoyable simply over ice. A benchmark, authentic expression of Guadeloupe's rhum agricole tradition in a 70cl bottle.
