Vintage2013
Château Potensac is a Médoc estate managed by the Delon family, also known for Château Léoville Las Cases in Saint-Julien, and classified Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel in the 2003 Médoc classification. Grown on a roughly 84-hectare vineyard of gravel, clay and limestone soils, the wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, offering blackcurrant and black cherry fruit, savory herbal notes and firm, well-integrated tannins. The 2013, a cooler and more challenging Bordeaux vintage, at 13% alcohol, shows a leaner, more classic style. Serve with roast lamb, duck, or aged cheeses.
