Vintage2019
Guidalberto is the second red wine of Tenuta San Guido, the Bolgheri estate in Tuscany famed as the birthplace of Sassicaia, the original Super Tuscan. First released with the 2000 vintage, Guidalberto blends Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in a style designed to be more approachable and earlier-drinking than the flagship wine, while still reflecting Bolgheri's warm, coastal Tuscan terroir. The 2019 vintage shows ripe dark fruit, sweet spice and smooth, well-integrated tannins typical of the appellation's Bordeaux-inspired blends. Serve with grilled steak, roast lamb or aged pecorino. A polished introduction to the Super Tuscan style from one of Italy's most storied wine estates.
