Vintage2019
Lyra is a single-vineyard Riesling from the Zöbinger Heiligenstein, in the Kamptal, made by the Langenlois estate of Willi Bründlmayer. The name refers to the lyre trellis, in which each vine divides into two arms to open the canopy to light and air; about a fifth of the estate's Heiligenstein vines are trained this way. The 2019 vintage was warm and ripe, giving Central European Rieslings good concentration alongside fresh acidity. It shows citrus, stone fruit and the site's characteristic mineral, slightly smoky signature, with real depth and a long, precise finish. Pair with roast duck, Asian-spiced seafood, or aged Gruyère.
