Vintage2022
Aloxe-Corton is a Côte de Beaune village that shares the Corton hill with two neighbours, best known for powerful Pinot Noir reds, and this 2022 bottling comes from Pascal Clément, a Savigny-lès-Beaune native who worked more than twenty years in the region, including time at Domaine Coche-Dury in Meursault, before launching his own micro-négociant project in 2012. Pascal works with fifteen growers across Burgundy, personally selecting parcels and favouring native-yeast fermentation with minimal intervention. At 13.5% alcohol, this Aloxe-Corton shows dark cherry fruit, earthy spice and the firm structure typical of wines grown near the Corton hill. Pair with roast beef, game or a mature cheese. A characterful red from a small-scale négociant with genuine hands-on Burgundy experience.
