Côte de Nuits-Villages is the appellation covering villages at the northern and southern ends of the Côte de Nuits, and Les Vignottes is the lieu-dit at Prémeaux-Prissey where Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron has its cellars. This Pinot Noir is supple and fruit-forward, with red cherry and light spice, colour and flavour drawn out by the four to five day cold soak that precedes fermentation here. It suits roast chicken, charcuterie or a beef stew.
