La Perrière is one of the two Gevrey-Chambertin premiers crus farmed by Domaine Marchand-Grillot, alongside Petite Chapelle. It lies near the top of the slope in the northern sector of the commune, above the village vineyards. The estate was formed by the 1950 marriage of the Marchand and Grillot families; Jacques Marchand heads it, with Étienne Marchand making the wines since 2009 and Marion Marchand on the commercial side since 2015. The wine is Pinot Noir, grown without synthetic herbicides or pesticides for more than twenty-five years. Expect black cherry, forest floor and baking spice with firm, fine tannins. Pair with venison, beef bourguignon or mature hard cheeses. Select your preferred vintage above.
