Vintage2017
Fixin "Les Mogottes" 2017 from Domaine Pierre Damoy is a Pinot Noir from Fixin, a lesser-known Côte de Nuits village just north of Gevrey-Chambertin, made by an estate that also holds grand cru parcels in Chambertin and Chambertin Clos de Bèze. Pierre Damoy, who took over his family's domaine in 1992 and renewed its focus on quality, brings the same meticulous approach to this more accessible village wine. Fixin typically produces sturdy, structured Pinot Noir with dark fruit, earth and firm tannins. At 13% alcohol, the 2017 is drinking well now. Serve with roast beef, braised meats or aged cheeses.
