Ladoix is an appellation at the northern end of the Côte de Beaune, just below the Corton hill. La Corvée Basse is a cuvée from Domaine Gros Ch. & Fils, a producer based in this village, made from Pinot Noir as is standard for red Ladoix. The 2020 vintage, a warm and generous growing season in Burgundy, brings ripe dark cherry and blackberry fruit, along with earthy and spice notes, over a supple, well-rounded tannic structure. It pairs nicely with roast chicken, charcuterie or a simple beef dish.
