Vintage2014
La Closerie de Camensac is the second wine of Château de Camensac, a fifth-growth estate of the 1855 Bordeaux classification located in the Haut-Médoc on the edge of Saint-Julien, purchased by the Merlaut family in 2005. The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, offering a more approachable, earlier-drinking style than the grand vin while reflecting the same gravelly Haut-Médoc terroir. The 2014 vintage, a classically styled and moderately structured Bordeaux year, shows notes of cherry, cassis, toasted oak and a balanced, food-friendly tannic grip. Pair with roast poultry, beef or game such as venison.
