Vintage2020
Domaine Lécheneaut was founded in 1960 by Fernand Lécheneaut in Nuits-Saint-Georges and is today run by his sons Philippe and Vincent, on an estate of about ten hectares. Au Chouillet is a village-level climat, and this old-vine ('Vieilles Vignes') bottling comes from vines averaging around 50 years of age, hand-harvested in the domaine's traditional manner. The 2020 Burgundy vintage was warm and dry, with an early harvest and naturally low yields, generally producing ripe, concentrated reds with soft, approachable tannins. Expect dark cherry, plum and a savoury depth that reflects the age of the vines. Pair with roast beef, game, or a mature Burgundian cheese.
