Vintage2020
Domaine Paul Pernot, founded in 1959 and based in Puligny-Montrachet, is best known for classically styled white Burgundy, holding significant parcels in Bâtard-Montrachet and Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, but the family, now in its third generation with Michel and Paul Pernot's children involved, also farms small holdings of Pinot Noir in neighbouring villages including Beaune. Clos du Dessus des Marconnets is a red-wine site within the Beaune appellation on the Côte de Beaune. The 2020 Burgundy vintage was warm and dry, with an early harvest and low yields, generally producing concentrated, ripe reds with soft tannins. Expect red and dark cherry, gentle spice and a smooth, elegant texture. Pair with roast chicken, duck, or a mushroom-based dish. A red bottling from a domaine that produces mainly white wines.
