Vintage2022
Boursot Père et Fils traces its family history in Chambolle-Musigny to at least 1550, and the twin brothers Romaric and Romuald run it today; the family works four hectares of its own vines, and the Maison created alongside them in 1993 buys in grapes from growers it selects for farming the same way. This 2022 village Chambolle-Musigny is made from Pinot Noir. Chambolle-Musigny gives the most perfumed and finely textured reds of the Côte de Nuits, in contrast to the firmer, more powerful style of neighbouring Gevrey-Chambertin. It shows red cherry, rose petal and a fine tannic structure at 13% alcohol; the traditional cellar now matures part of this cuvée in amphora alongside oak. It suits roast duck, mushroom dishes or a soft-ripened cheese.
