This white cuvée from Domaine Romaneaux-Destezet is a Viognier and Roussanne blend made by Hervé Souhaut, who founded the domaine in 1993 at Arlebosc, a small town in the Doux valley in the northern Ardèche, inland and well west of the Saint-Joseph slopes. The vines are old, some approaching a century, on decomposed granite. Fermentation runs on native yeast and the wine is bottled with around 25 mg/l of sulphur. Expect stone fruit and white flowers with a saline, granitic finish. Serve with roast chicken, creamy goat cheese or Provençal vegetable dishes. Select your preferred vintage and format above.
