Vintage2015
Château Cap de Faugères is a 46-hectare Right Bank estate in Sainte-Colombe within the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, owned by Silvio Denz and consulted by Stephan von Neipperg. The wine is a classic Right Bank blend dominated by Merlot (around 85%), with smaller portions of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on limestone-clay soils and aged around 12 months in largely one-year-old French oak barrels. The 2015 vintage was a ripe year in Bordeaux, particularly for Merlot-based Right Bank wines, producing generous, well-structured reds with ripe tannins. Expect plum, black cherry and a plush, forward, approachable texture that has typified this estate's style. Pair with roast lamb, duck, or a hearty beef stew.
