Vintage2022
Pierre Longue is a single-vineyard cuvée from Olivier Giroux, who bought the Clos des Rocs estate in the Mâconnais in 2002 and immediately stopped using weedkillers; the domaine, certified organic since 2014, works 13 hectares split mainly between Pouilly-Loché and Mâcon-Loché. Made entirely from Chardonnay, as required by the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation, the 2022 vintage, at 13.5% alcohol, shows ripe stone fruit, a touch of honeyed richness and the limestone-driven minerality that has earned this small appellation growing recognition among white Burgundy lovers. Giroux, from a winemaking family with seven generations of history in the area, vinifies each parcel separately to preserve its individual character. Pair with roast chicken, grilled fish or creamy goat cheese. A precise, terroir-focused Pouilly-Fuissé from one of the Mâconnais' most dedicated small producers.
