Vintage2023
Les Charrières is a premier cru climat of Morey-Saint-Denis, the Côte de Nuits commune between Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny, and this 2023 bottling from Domaine Gilbert & Christine Felettig is made from Pinot Noir. Morey-Saint-Denis tends to combine the structure of Gevrey with the perfume of Chambolle, and this wine shows dark cherry and blackcurrant fruit, earthy spice and firm, polished tannin. It takes a few years in the cellar and goes with braised short ribs, roast lamb or a mature Époisses.
