Vintage2017
Petite Chapelle is a 1er Cru climat in Gevrey-Chambertin farmed by Domaine Humbert Frères, a small family estate run since 1993 by cousins of the Dugat family, specializing in Pinot Noir across seven hectares of the Côte de Nuits. Premier cru wines here are aged around 18 months in 40 to 50% new oak, following meticulous, lunar-calendar-guided vineyard work and hand harvesting. The 2017 vintage in Burgundy was generally generous and ripe, giving well-balanced wines with good structure. Expect red and black cherry fruit, spice and floral notes, with firm but polished tannins and real ageing potential. Pair with braised beef, roast lamb or a mature cheese.
