Vintage2016
Le Dragon de Quintus is the second wine of Château Quintus, a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru estate on Bordeaux's Right Bank owned by Domaine Clarence Dillon, the family behind Château Haut-Brion. Its name recalls the dragon statue that overlooks the estate's promontory terroir near Libourne. Made from a blend led by Merlot with a significant proportion of Cabernet Franc, the wine reflects the 2016 Bordeaux vintage, which produced wines of great ripeness, balance and structure. Expect dark plum, blackberry and violet aromas, with supple tannins and a polished, elegant finish that reflects Saint-Émilion's characteristic finesse. Pair with roast duck, braised beef or a mature cheese.
