Vintage2016
Château Lilian Ladouys is a Saint-Estèphe estate in Bordeaux's Médoc with a history dating back to the sixteenth century, renamed in its current form in 1989 and acquired in 2007 by Jacky Lorenzetti, who has invested heavily in the property; it was classified Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel in the 2020 Médoc classification. A Left Bank blend built around Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon and a touch of Petit Verdot, the wine shows blackcurrant, graphite and cedar notes with the firm structure characteristic of Saint-Estèphe. The 2016 vintage, at 13.5% alcohol, is drinking well now and has further ageing potential. Serve with grilled lamb, entrecôte, or mature cheeses.
