Vintage
Charmes-Chambertin is one of the nine grands crus of Gevrey-Chambertin, lying on the lower slope directly across the road from Chambertin and Latricières-Chambertin. Domaine Arnaud Mortet works a small parcel there. The estate was created in 2016, when Arnaud Mortet and his sister Clémence took on about four hectares in the village from a retiring grower; the fruit is vinified in the Denis Mortet cellar by the same team and to the same recipe as the family range. Pinot Noir, sorted three times and destemmed to leave the berries whole, with a proportion of whole bunches, native-yeast fermentation and sixteen to eighteen months in barrel, bottled without fining or filtration. Pair with braised beef, game, or mature hard cheeses. Select your preferred vintage above.
