Vintage2021
Échezeaux is a large, multi-climat grand cru in the commune of Flagey-Échezeaux, adjoining Vosne-Romanée and Clos de Vougeot, and Domaine Michel Noëllat's holding comes from the Du Dessus climat. The estate is in Vosne-Romanée and is run by the sixth generation, cousins Sébastien and Sophie Noëllat. The 2021 is Pinot Noir, picked by hand, fully destemmed and given a cool pre-fermentation soak. Expect red and black cherry, floral and spiced notes, and a fine, silky tannic structure. It matches roast duck, venison or a rich mushroom dish.
