Fixin sits at the northern end of the Côte de Nuits, bordering Gevrey-Chambertin, and its Pinot Noir is firm and structured. Les Hervelets is one of the commune's premier cru climats, on the slope just north of Gevrey. Domaine Bart, the Marsannay estate run by Pierre Bart since 2009 with his mother Odile and his uncle Martin, farms this site alongside its single-vineyard Marsannay wines.
