Vintage2019
La Montagne is one of Domaine Bart's single-vineyard Marsannay bottlings. The domaine took its present shape in 1982, when Martin Bart and his sister Odile took their share of the Clair-Daü estate as it was broken up; Odile's son Pierre has run it since 2009, working alongside his uncle. The 2019 vintage was balanced and classic in Burgundy, and the wine is a Pinot Noir with red cherry, a note of spice and fine tannins. Marsannay sits at the northern end of the Côte de Nuits; the commune has no premiers crus, though En la Montagne is one of fourteen climats in an application that has been before the INAO since 2011. Pair with roast chicken, charcuterie or a mushroom tart.
