This Marsannay Les Grasses Têtes comes from a lieu-dit within the Marsannay appellation, farmed by Domaine Bruno Clair from the domaine's home village of Marsannay-la-Côte at the northern gate of the Côte de Nuits. The parcel lies on clay-limestone soil with a south-easterly exposure, planted between 1950 and 1990. Expect red cherry and cranberry notes, a touch of earthy minerality and fine tannins that give the wine focus and lift. Serve with roast poultry, charcuterie or a simple mushroom risotto.
