Vintage2010
Château Brillette is a Cru Bourgeois estate in Moulis-en-Médoc, one of the smallest and most soil-diverse communal appellations of Bordeaux's Left Bank, owned by the Flageul family since 1975. The wine is a classic Left Bank blend of roughly 54% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot, grown on Moulis's gravelly, clay-rich soils and aged in a mix of new and used French oak barrels. The 2010 vintage produced Bordeaux wines of great concentration, structure and ageing potential. At 13.5% alcohol, expect dark fruit, cedar, gentle vanilla oak and firm, well-integrated tannins. Now over a decade old, it is entering its drinking window. Serve with roast lamb, entrecôte or a mature Bordeaux-style cheese board.
