Vintage2015
This Côtes du Rhône Villages Chusclan 2015, offered here in magnum, comes from Château Signac, an estate housed in an 18th-century farm building near Bagnols-sur-Cèze at the foot of the Dent de Signac. Chusclan is one of the named Côtes du Rhône Villages crus on the right bank of the Rhône, and the château's vineyards benefit from limestone slopes shaped by erosion from the mountain combined with marine sediments below. The wine is a traditional southern Rhône blend led by Grenache alongside Syrah and Mourvèdre, farmed entirely by hand. Expect dark fruit, spice, coffee, and violet notes with a rich, generous palate, silky tannins, and a long, warming finish. The magnum format favours slow, graceful aging, and this 2015 has had time to develop further complexity. Pair with roast lamb, grilled meats, or a hearty stew.
