"Loup dans la Bergerie" is a red IGP Hérault from Domaine de l'Hortus, the Languedoc estate founded by Jean Orliac in the late 1970s on the limestone slopes of the Hortus massif near Pic Saint Loup. Built on a blend of Syrah and Grenache, in keeping with the domaine's Mediterranean grape choices, this cuvée offers an approachable, fruit-forward style. Expect ripe dark berry fruit, garrigue herbs and a soft, easy-drinking structure. Domaine de l'Hortus, now run by the second generation of the Orliac family, is one of the Languedoc's most respected estates. Serve with grilled meats, barbecue or Mediterranean vegetable dishes.
