Vintage2021
This IGP Val de Montferrand Blanc 2021 from Domaine de l'Hortus is a white wine from the limestone hills around the Hortus massif in the Languedoc, produced by the estate founded by Jean Orliac in the late 1970s. IGP Val de Montferrand allows greater flexibility in grape choice than the neighbouring Pic Saint Loup appellation, and this white blends Chardonnay, Viognier, Petit Manseng and Sauvignon Gris, reflecting the domaine's exploratory approach to white winemaking on these cooler, higher-altitude sites. At 13% alcohol, expect fresh citrus and stone fruit with a mineral, herbal lift from the surrounding garrigue. Serve with grilled fish, goat cheese or Mediterranean salads. A distinctive white from one of the Languedoc's most respected estates.
