Vintage
Maranges is the southernmost appellation of the Côte de Beaune, and La Fussière is one of its Premier Cru climats. This bottling comes from Domaine Simon Colin, based at Chassagne-Montrachet, whose 9.3 hectares lie in four communes: Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet, Santenay and Maranges. About 3 hectares are planted to Pinot Noir, against roughly 6.3 hectares of Chardonnay and Aligoté. Expect red cherry, redcurrant and a light earthy, savoury edge typical of Maranges Pinot Noir. Ageing runs twelve to fifteen months, with a limited share of new oak. Serve with roast duck, charcuterie or a mushroom-based dish. Select your preferred vintage above.
