Vintage2020
Clos du Prieuré is a monopole vineyard of Domaine de la Vougeraie, meaning the estate is the sole owner of this walled parcel in the village of Vougeot on the Côte de Nuits. Founded in 1999 when Jean-Charles Boisset brought together the family's finest vineyard holdings, the domaine farms this site under winemaker Pierre Vincent with close attention to terroir. The 2020 vintage was warm and concentrated across Burgundy, giving this Pinot Noir ripe red and dark-fruit character, supple tannins and a savory, earthy undertone at 13% alcohol. It pairs well with roast chicken, charcuterie, or mushroom dishes. A single-owner village Vougeot, from a commune otherwise dominated by its famous grand cru neighbor.
