Domaine Marchand-Grillot's Bourgogne Rouge is Pinot Noir under the regional Bourgogne appellation, made by this Gevrey-Chambertin family estate, formed when the Marchands of Morey-Saint-Denis and the Grillots of Gevrey-Chambertin were joined by marriage in 1950. Jacques Marchand heads the domaine and works alongside his children Étienne, who has made the wines since 2009, and Marion, who joined in 2015. Its nine hectares of Côte de Nuits parcels are farmed without synthetic herbicides or pesticides, a practice in place for more than twenty-five years. Expect bright red fruit, soft tannins and a fresh finish. Serve lightly chilled with roast chicken, charcuterie or mushroom risotto. Select your preferred vintage above.
