Vintage2019
This regional Bourgogne Rouge is made from Pinot Noir by Domaine Odoul-Coquard, an estate based in Morey-Saint-Denis with origins going back to the 1930s, now led by winemaker Sébastien Odoul, who joined the family business in 2004 after gaining experience at Domaine Dujac, Mommessin and Domaine Denis Mortet. Sourced from vineyards around the domaine's Côte de Nuits base, which also includes holdings in Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, Vosne-Romanée and Nuits-Saint-Georges, this bottling offers an approachable, everyday expression of red Burgundy. The 2019 vintage, a well-balanced year, shows red cherry, light spice and soft, easy-drinking tannins. Serve with roast chicken, charcuterie or a simple pasta dish.
