Vintage2021
This Vieilles Vignes red from the Champs Claude lieu-dit in Santenay comes from Domaine Lucien Muzard et Fils, a family estate dating back to 1645 and now run by ninth-generation brothers Claude and Hervé Muzard, whose Santenay reds tend toward an elegant style built on crunchy, earthy red fruit rather than heavy extraction. Made from 100% Pinot Noir sourced from old vines, this bottling gives added depth and concentration compared to younger plantings, while remaining true to Santenay's naturally lively, food-friendly character. Expect red and black cherry, a touch of spice, and fine, well-balanced tannins with real length for the appellation. Pair with roast poultry, charcuterie, or a mushroom-based main. The 2021 vintage brought fresh, precise fruit to this old-vine village bottling.
