Vintage2021
Champs Claude is a village-level lieu-dit in Santenay farmed by Domaine Lucien Muzard et Fils, a family estate tracing its history back to 1645 and today run by ninth-generation brothers Claude and Hervé Muzard, whose holdings include five Premier Cru sites in the appellation. Made from 100% Chardonnay, this white shows the aromatic, energetic style the domaine is known for. Santenay's cooler, southern position in the Côte de Beaune favours fresh, citrus-driven whites over the richer style found further north. Expect green apple, lemon, and a light floral note with brisk acidity and a clean finish. Pair with grilled fish, goat cheese, or a light seafood salad. The 2021 vintage's cooler conditions bring extra precision to this Santenay white.
