Gevrey-Chambertin
Gevrey-Chambertin is the largest and most powerful of the Côte de Nuits communes, home to nine Grands Crus — Chambertin, Chambertin-Clos de Bèze, Charmes, Mazis, Latricières, Ruchottes, Chapelle, Griotte and Mazoyères. Its Pinot Noir is structured and dark-fruited, with more tannin and depth than its neighbours to the south.
This collection lists village bottlings; Premier Cru and Grand Cru Gevrey are listed separately. Producers include Bruno Clair, Lucien Boillot and Pierre Bourée Fils. Village wines typically open after five years and hold for fifteen or more.
