Vintage2021
Dix Climats is Domaine Drouhin-Laroze's village Gevrey-Chambertin, a blend drawn from parcels spread across the commune. It is made from Pinot Noir alone and raised in previously used barrels from the Allier and Nivernais, so that fruit rather than new oak comes through. The 2021 shows dark cherry and blackberry fruit, earthy spice, firm tannin and fresh acidity. Serve with beef bourguignon, duck confit or a hard cow's-milk cheese. The estate, run by Nicolas and Caroline Drouhin, also farms six grands crus in the Côte de Nuits.
