Vintage2022
Les Fuées is a premier cru vineyard at the northern, Morey-Saint-Denis end of Chambolle-Musigny, lying immediately below the grand cru Bonnes-Mares. This bottling from Boursot Père et Fils, the family estate with roots in the village to at least 1550 and now run by the twin brothers Romaric and Romuald, comes from old vines, some of them around seventy-five years, as the Vieille Vigne designation indicates. Older vines give lower yields and more concentrated fruit, and this 2022 Pinot Noir shows dark cherry and blackberry, fine-grained tannins and the floral, silky character of Chambolle-Musigny. At 13.5% alcohol it has the structure to develop over eight to fifteen years. Pair it with roast venison, duck confit or a mature Burgundian cheese.
