Vintage2020
Les Bois Chevaux is one of the Premier Cru climats farmed by Domaine Joblot, in Givry, in Burgundy's Côte Chalonnaise. Founded by Charles Joblot after the First World War and now run by fourth-generation Juliette Joblot, the domaine holds nine hectares of Premier Cru out of its 14-hectare total. This Pinot Noir was made in the warm, dry 2020 vintage, which across Burgundy generally produced ripe, concentrated wines with naturally low yields and soft, approachable tannins. Expect dark cherry, spice and an earthy, savoury undertone, with the plush, charming character for which Joblot's reds are known. Pair with roast pork, game, or a mushroom-based dish.
